Fall is without a doubt my most favorite time of year! Pumpkins, boots, sweaters, football, vibrant colorful leaves, crisp cool air and cozy blankets. Sometimes I wish Fall would last all year. Although, I do have to admit there is something magical about the anticipation of the season that excites and inspires me.
In an effort to savor the season as long as possible I start decorating early for Fall every year. You can bet that come September 1st I am pulling out all my decor! This year is no different. I took advantage of the long weekend and started playing around with what I already have and looking through Pinterest and magazines for inspiration. I also took a look back on my blog to refresh my memory on how I decorated last year. If you are new to the blog or missed that post you can see it here.
I think my most favorite part of our decor last season was the combination of this chalkboard, plaid throw and dried hydrangeas.
I loved it so much that it inspired me to do something similar with our chalkboard again this year. It’s not quite finished yet but I will be sharing it with you soon.
Speaking of sharing and inspiration, there’s some fun stuff happening in The Vale this week. For the first time ever I am co-hosting a Finding Fall Link Party. If you are a blogger I hope you’ll join us and link up your favorite Fall inspired projects. The party ends Thursday (end of day). I am co-hosting with eight other fabulous bloggers and each of us will do a Round Up featuring our favorites on our blogs and social media next Tuesday, Sept 15th.
I realize some of you are saying…UMM Laura Jo, I am not a blogger. I don’t know what a Link Party is?? No worries! Just trust me, you definitely don’t want to miss this party. Be sure to stop by often and click on the links (thumbnail photos) of all the amazing recipes, crafts, DIY, decor and inspiration below. By the time this party is over you will be ready for Fall.
